Product Manager — Ready-Mix Concrete, Cement & Construction Materials

Product Manager

Product Manager — Ready-Mix Concrete, Cement & Construction Materials

About the Role

Climate Earth is seeking a Product Manager to help build and scale a carbon-intelligent platform for ready-mix concrete producers and related construction material categories, including cement, aggregates, precast, and other materials.

In this role, you will work at the intersection of concrete quality control, product management, embodied carbon, and B2B SaaS. You will help define and develop product workflows that integrate automated, third-party verified Environmental Product Declarations directly into the day-to-day processes used by concrete producers and construction material companies.

This is a product role suited for someone who understands the technical and operational realities of ready-mix concrete. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with customers, translating industry needs into clear Product Requirement Documents, and helping Climate Earth scale an AI-native platform.

Key Responsibilities

Lead product discovery for Climate Earth’s platform for ready-mix concrete and related construction material categories

Work directly with customers, internal stakeholders, and industry partners to understand workflows, pain points, data structures, and decision-making processes

Gather, organize, and synthesize structured product feedback from concrete producers, QC teams, technical managers, and other users

Plan and manage beta cycles to test new workflows, product concepts, AI-enabled features, and customer-facing tools

Define clear Product Requirement Documents for new  workflows, including user stories, acceptance criteria, data requirements, business rules, and operational constraints

Translate customer and industry requirements into product specifications for engineering, design, data, LCA, and EPD teams

Collaborate with Technical Product Managers focused on LCA, EPD generation, verification, and compliance to ensure product workflows align with verified environmental data

Help design product features that integrate automated EPDs, carbon data, mix design information, material properties, and performance data into practical customer workflows

Develop a deep understanding of how ready-mix producers manage mix designs, batch data, lab results, material substitutions, strength performance, specifications, and compliance requirements

Identify opportunities to use AI-native workflows to improve efficiency, product consistency, carbon optimization, and customer decision-making

Prioritize product requirements based on customer impact, technical feasibility, business value, and scalability

Support internal alignment across Product, Engineering, LCA Services, Customer Success, Implementation, and Sales teams

Communicate product direction, beta findings, customer feedback, and release priorities clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Help improve internal product management processes, documentation standards, discovery methods, and feedback loops

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, concrete technology, construction materials, quality control, materials engineering, or a related field

Deep knowledge of ready-mix concrete, including mix designs, cementitious materials, admixtures, aggregates, hydration, strength development, durability, and material performance

Experience working with concrete producers, QC teams, technical service teams, materials laboratories, or construction material suppliers

Experience translating customer needs, technical requirements, and operational workflows into clear product requirements

Ability to write detailed Product Requirement Documents, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and implementation-ready specifications

Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers, executives, technical users, engineers, and internal stakeholders

Comfort working with technical data, product data structures, software workflows, and complex operational systems

Experience managing beta programs, structured product feedback cycles, pilots, or customer validation processes

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, fast-moving environment

Ability to work independently, make sound product judgments, and drive work forward with limited hand-holding

Familiarity with B2B SaaS platforms, enterprise software, construction technology, or industrial software preferred

Interest in embodied carbon, Environmental Product Declarations, Life Cycle Assessment, and low-carbon construction materials

Preferred Experience

Experience in ready-mix concrete quality control, technical services, mix optimization, lab testing, or production support

Experience working with mix design software, batch plant systems, QC databases, laboratory information systems, or construction materials software

Familiarity with concrete specifications, performance-based mix design, strength testing, material variability, and production quality control

Understanding of cement chemistry, supplementary cementitious materials, admixture performance, aggregate properties, and concrete durability

Experience building or scaling software products for industrial, construction, manufacturing, or materials-focused customers

Experience with AI products, data-driven workflows, decision-support tools, or automation in technical business processes

Familiarity with Environmental Product Declarations, embodied carbon reporting, Life Cycle Assessment, or low-carbon concrete strategies

Experience working across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, and technical subject matter expert teams

Ability to communicate effectively with both software teams and concrete industry professionals

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, construction management, environmental engineering, or a related technical field preferred

What This Role Is Not

This is not a traditional concrete QC manager role focused only on lab testing, plant troubleshooting, or day-to-day production support.

This is also not an LCA compliance role focused primarily on standards, verification rules, or EPD program requirements. Climate Earth has Technical Product Managers and subject matter experts focused on the LCA and EPD compliance side.

This role is focused on product management for concrete workflows: understanding how concrete producers actually work, identifying where carbon and EPD data can create value, and turning those insights into scalable software requirements.

What Success Looks Like

Successful candidates will help Climate Earth build a practical, scalable platform that customers trust and use in their daily workflows.

Success in this role means:

Clear product requirements that engineering teams can build from

Strong feedback loops with customers and beta users

Better integration between mix design, quality control, EPD, and carbon data

Product decisions grounded in customer reality, technical accuracy, and business value

Improved internal alignment between Product, Engineering, LCA, Implementation, and Customer Success teams

A growing product foundation that can scale across ready-mix concrete and related material categories

Long-Term Growth Opportunities

This role is an opportunity to help define a new category of carbon-intelligent software for the construction materials industry.

As Climate Earth expands its platform, this position may grow into broader ownership of product strategy, advanced concrete workflow development, AI-enabled product features, customer advisory programs, or adjacent product categories such as cement, aggregates, precast, and other construction materials.

This is a strong fit for someone who wants to combine deep materials expertise with modern software product management and help shape how the construction materials industry connects quality, performance, cost, and carbon.

Location

Remote

Candidates should be able to work effectively with customers and internal teams across North American business hours. Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings, industry events, beta program support, or internal team meetings.

This position reports to the Director of Product Management and will work closely with other Technical Product Managers, including team members focused on LCA, EPD generation, verification, and compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

Climate Earth offers a competitive compensation and benefits package based on experience, location, and employment requirements.

Benefits may include paid time off, healthcare benefits, retirement contributions where applicable, remote work flexibility, and professional development opportunities.

Why Join Climate Earth?

Climate Earth is building practical software tools that help the construction materials industry measure, manage, and reduce embodied carbon.
